One of the reasons why we remember a certain date is because we were part of it, either in a joyful or devastating way.
When that certain date arrives, we tend to solely think about ourselves but little do we know, millions of other people out there are trying to remember why that same date matters to them.
Sometimes, their reasons are more significant than ours:
Listening to the very last words of an advice.
Applauding a scientific breakthrough.
Building a prominent entity on the pitch.
Cherishing the freedom they finally achieved.
Marking a spiritual change of a legend.
So what's the point here?
While I'm celebrating the fact that another 365 days have been added to my age, I ask myself:
Has my existence brought a significant reason for people to remember today's date?
What can I do to make today a notable date for people around me?
And most importantly:
Is today more important for me than for anyone else?
But for the time being, let's just live for today, alright? :)
